COMMERCIAL SOLAR OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE (Solar O&M)
Commercial-scale solar systems come with their own set of maintenance and servicing needs, which fall under the umbrella of ongoing solar operations and maintenance (solar O&M).
Cromwell Solar has installed hundreds of MW of commercial-scale solar projects, and our history of commercial solar installation means we’re intimately familiar with the needs of such systems. We perform solar O&M for multiple large clients, ensuring their solar panel systems produce power at their peak efficiency.
Cromwell’s experienced and certified solar repair team is often hired to perform solar maintenance on large commercial solar systems throughout the Midwest.
You can engage Cromwell with a solar O&M contract or just call when your solar project is not working. Our solar O&M team handles solar repairs and maintenance on large commercial solar projects including the VA Hospital in Wichita, Kansas and various projects at Fort Riley.
WHY IS SOLAR O&M IMPORTANT?
Large commercial solar installations can produce energy worth hundreds or even thousands of dollars per day. It is important to keep the system functioning well to avoid costly downtime. Additionally, it is important to identify equipment failures before their warranties run out. Cromwell’s commercial solar O&M contracts keep large solar projects running at their best with minimal downtime.
ONGOING SOLAR MONITORING
The first step in commercial solar O&M work is often to get online monitoring of the system in place and operational. Solar monitoring often allows us to remotely diagnose problems with a system such as when inverters are down. By having online solar monitoring in place we can also examine the solar energy output of a system over time and note any decreases that could mean a repair is needed.
Often we are able to program the monitoring to send Cromwell an email instantly when a problem is detected with the solar output. Fast diagnosis of a problem with a commercial solar project allows us to quickly get the system back up and running at its best, limiting solar downtime to increase the energy savings onsite.
ADDITIONAL SOLAR O&M WORK
Whether it is a utility-scale solar ground-mount, a solar carport, or a rooftop solar project, Cromwell Solar can perform routine, periodic solar panel and inverter checkups to make sure that solar panels are attached properly and that inverters and batteries are running at their optimum levels.
When we identify a problem with a solar project, Cromwell Solar is ready to diagnose and repair the issue. We’re also familiar with the process of identifying and submitting any available manufacturers’ solar warranty paperwork needed to get your organization reimbursed for the costs of solar repair.
